February 06-08: Thaipusam

Thaipusam is celebrated during the full moon of the 10th month in the Hindu calendar and is normally
held during the last week of January or the beginning of February. During this celebration, a pilgrimage procession takes place to bring the statue of Lord Muruga on a silver chariot led by more than 60 to temples.
February 07: Yury Revich concert

The 20-year-old Yury Revich is one of the most expressive Russian violinist in his generation, who notwithstanding his young age, can already retrospect an international career and auspicious collaborations with well-known artists of the branche. With his debuts in Carnegie Hall and Musikverein Wien Yury Revich internationally provoked furore – now we’re curiously awaiting the concerts to follow in Amsterdam, Gstaad, Montpellier, London and Verbier.
February 12: SMUCO Concert

Come join SMU Chinese Orchestra (SMUCO) as they explore and delve into facets of traditional Chinese culture, revolving around the Chinese expression which individually refer to the Guqin、Weiqi、Calligraphy and Painting. Each of these unique Chinese expressions will be thematically introduced and explicated through music to highlights its characteristic.
February 18: Dog Whisperer Free Pet Show
Where: East Coast Dalbergia Green
When: noon - 18:00
Organised by the National Geographic Channel, the Dog Whisperer Free Pet Shop will be Singapore’s largest dog-adoption drive, bringing together four dog shelters Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD), Animal Lovers League (ALL), Noah’s Ark and Gentle Paws for a weekend where dogs are the stars. Featuring more than 80 dogs that will be up for adoption, the event will also offer fringe activities and workshops that will shed new light on dog ownership.
